Camp Rim Rock is widely regarded as having one of the finest riding programs for children in the country.

Campers of all ages and abilities enjoy riding and eagerly look forward to the hours they spend with the horses in the rings or on the wooded trails. In no time at all, your daughter will know the horses by name.

The girls' first lessons will be in one of the six rings. By following the expert instruction of the riding counselors, they will discover how easy it is to walk, trot and canter properly and with confidence. When they have demonstrated enough skill and confidence in the ring, they will take part in rides on the miles of camp trails. More advanced riders will learn jumping fundamentals. There is a staff member for each rider at the beginner level.

Camp Rim Rock owns a herd of over 70 well-schooled horses, carefully selected for their suitability for riders of all levels. While campers are enjoying the fun of riding, parents can be assured that this activity is under qualified and careful supervision. Camp Rim Rock’s safety record is second to none.

All campers receive riding instruction six days a week. This instruction includes ring lessons, trail rides, stable management and swimming the horses in the river!
